INGREDIENTS
Fresh green beans
Soy sauce
Rice vinegar
Sugar
Red pepper flakes

Peanut oil

DIRECTIONS
- Cut 500g of fresh green beans into halves or thirds after trimming the ends.
- Combine the soy sauce, rice vinegar, sugar, red pepper flakes, and white pepper in a bowl.
- Prepare 2 tablespoons minced garlic and 2 tablespoons minced ginger root.
- In a large saucepan, heat the beans and 1/4 cup water.
Cook, covered, for 3-5 minutes, or until the beans begin to soften; then uncover and cook until the water has evaporated. - Add the vegetable oil, minced garlic, and minced ginger and cook for 2 minutes, stirring frequently to prevent the garlic and ginger from burning.
- Stir in the soy sauce mixture and cook for another 2 minutes, or until the beans are coated and some of the liquid has evaporated.
Serve immediately or at room temperature.
